Professor Gloria Allen
Founder and Facilitator

Professor Gloria Watts Allen began her career in 1956 as an elementary school teacher in the New York city public schools. She went on to teach mathematics in New York city high schools and colleges.  Professor Allen has taught mathematics and math methodology at Hunter College in New York, Grambling State University in Louisiana, and Bethune-Cookman University in Florida, to name a few. She has also served as a consultant to schools and universities in several states across the country and continues to be sought after by more institutions.

In response to an overwhelming need, Professor Allen decided to focus her expertise on improving adult math skills, particularly elementary school teachers. Consequently, she designed and developed a revolutionary curriculum entitled Free Your Mathematical Mind.

Ms. Allen was called upon by her mother to find a way to replicate the FYMM classroom environment on a broad scale.  Ms. Allen utilized her technical expertise to help develop the FYMM interactive video courseware.   Ms. Allen drives the mission of the company and manages the business operations of IDG while Professor Allen concentrates on content and methodology.
